My expertise encompasses:

Individual Therapy, Couples Therapy, CBT for Perimenopause & Menopause, Death Doula, Parenting, and Family Therapy.

My main training embodies a number of different approaches including: Person-Centred Approach, Psychoanalysis, Existentialism, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Body Psychotherapy, Stress Response, Integrative & Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Family & Systemic  Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, Psychopathology, Addiction Studies, and Group Psychotherapy.

Psychoanalysis

My current goal is to obtain a Professional Clinical MA in Psychoanalysis from UCD School of Medicine, which necessitates my attendance at weekly psychiatric case conferences at St. Vincent's University Hospital. This teaching forum brings together a psychiatric and psychoanalytic approach to mental illness. By participating in clinical settings and practicing thoroughly and rigorously in this course, I will gain a solid foundation for working in the field of mental health.

Psychoanalysis is a clinical practice which focuses on the hidden or unconscious processes of the mind. The insights it provides are crucial in revealing the fragility of meaning in our lives and the dynamics of mental health and its collapse in illness.

Psychoanalysis gives you a unique opportunity to speak openly about the issues that concern you, and it allows you to hear things that you're not aware of, which influence your actions and position in life. The focus in psychoanalysis is on the unconscious, which is the part of ourselves that has the greatest influence on our thoughts, actions, and feelings.

Logotherapy and Existential Analysis

Currently, I am also enrolled in obtaining a Professional Diploma in Logotherapy and Existential Analysis from the Viktor Frankl Institute of Ireland. The diploma in Logotherapy and Existential Analysis provides me a better understanding of Life & Death Concepts and Instincts, Existential Angst, and the Theory and Therapy of Mental Disorders like Neuroses, Psychoses, Schizophrenia, Criminality, and Suicide.

A Logotherapist helps their clients have a better understanding about Life & Death, Will-to-Meaning & Meaning-Centred Interventions, Happiness & Gratitude, Freedom vs Fate, Choice & Responsibility, Ethics & Trust, Power of the Human Spirit, Unavoidable Suffering, Existential Vacuum (Lack of Meaning, Boredom, Inner Emptiness), Sunday Neurosis, Attitudinal Change, Crisis Situations, Despair & Violence & Aggression, Addictions, Depression.

Additional Completed Training :

  • Professional Certificate in Family Therapy from PCI College
  • Death Doula Certificate
  • Certificate in CBT for Menopausal Symptoms
  • Professional Certificate in Couples Therapy from the Institute of Couples Therapy Ireland
  • Certificate in Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training
  • Suicide Prevention Training program with HSE

Those combined modalities give me the opportunity to have a holistic and visceral understanding of my client’s needs and fears. My goal is to help my clients turn their suffering into achievement and accomplishment, to reduce anxieties that paralyses their potential, and use their spiritual resources to withstand adversity. Regardless of your identity or circumstances, you have the option to choose.

Either you choose to live on autopilot, fear, or be a victim of your circumstances, or you can opt to choose to stop reacting to your surroundings and decide how you respond to life. I believe that by taking the first step, everyone has the Power to unlock Inner Peace, promote Wellbeing, and to improve Resilience, Acceptance, Cognitive Re-appraisal, Spirituality, Happiness, overall Health, and Life Satisfaction.
